Firefly Virtual Juniper Firewall

Juniper Networks has announced its virtual firewall solution Firefly. Some details can be found at here It is a product which streamlines troubleshooting, protocol testing, lab setups. I am mostly interested in Firefly perimeter as it is JUNOS in a virtual environment which most people have been waiting for a long time I suppose.
I would love to hear everyone’s feedback once you have some hands on experience with the product.

  1. I have been using Juniper Olives for years and they work really well. Many people in the Juniper dev community have been chomping at the bit for a virtual SRX.

  2. You are right, Olive together with GNS is spectacular. Now having firewall within Vmware ESX and KVM will help many network & security engineers I believe and if you combine it with scripting you can build complex labs in a few seconds.
